iBeamNH is managed within the Enterprise IT organization, under the guidance of CIO, Bill Poirier. Most of the iBeam engineering, business and management staff offices are on the UNH Durham campus. Established as the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Wide Area Network in 1995, hiring a single dedicated network engineer in 1997, the iBeam has grown into a large multiservice organization, serving over 50,000 users at over 60 sites, with significant fiber and equipment resources across New Hampshire and beyond.
iBeamNH is built on collaborative relationships within Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ and beyond. Reciprocal partnerships with our sister institutions in the six New England states and New York have enabled all of us to leverage buying power for equipment and services, and to distribute our infrastructure footprints widely for enhanced diversity and reliability.
iBeamNH serves over 50,000 users in New Hampshire with a variety of services to education, government, public safety, health, and other vital public-serving institutions.
