How to Reserve a Hands-On Classroom

UNH Teaching & Learning Technologies maintains classroom-sized, computer-per-seat facilities in Hewitt Hall and Kingsbury Hall, designed to support interactive demonstrations, hands-on learning experiences, and technology-enhanced instruction. These facilities are available for use by faculty and staff, and can be reserved for instructional or event purposes.

To request reservation of this classroom:

 

 

 

HDMI Connection

  • Make sure your device is powered on and awake.
  • Connect your device using the supplied HDMI cable.
  • If your device requires a display adapter, connect adapter to cable first, then connect adapter to your device.
  • If necessary, select your desired source connection on the AV Touch Panel.

Presenting from a Laptop in a Classroom or Learning Space

  1. If your device requires a display adapter to connect to the provided HDMI cable, follow these steps:
    1. Connect the HDMI cable to the display adapter.
    2. Connect the adapter to your device.
    3. Make sure your device is powered on and awake.
      1. Once connected, your laptop display should appear automatically on the classroom system.
        1. If you need a ±«³§µþ‑C–to‑HDMI adapter, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ has tested and recommends the which is available from Amazon and other retailers.

​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹Note: If your classroom utilizes a USB-C connection, please connect your laptop directly using the provided ±«³§µþ‑C cable only. Do not use this connection with an adapter, as the ±«³§µþ‑C cable is designed to work with most laptops and adapters can prevent proper display and connectivity.

Select your input source and verify display

  1. ​If the system does not start automatically, use the AV touch panel to select the appropriate input source:
    1. HDMI
    2. ±«³§µþ‑C
    3. AirMedia
  2. After selecting the input, allow the projector or display time to power on. Your computer’s image should appear on the projection screen; this may take up to 60 seconds.
